Life Threatening Emergencies

In a life-threatening emergency such as sudden severe chest pain, severe breathlessness, loss of power in a limb, loss of consciousness or severe bleeding dial 999.

Severe Injuries

For any injury that might need stitching / glue or involves a broken bone, you should attend the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department at:

University Hospital of Wales, Heath Park, Cardiff, CF14 4XW, telephone: 029 2074 8047 or 029 2074 8025.

Also in the event of poisoning or overdose the attend the local A&E

Urgent Problems during Surgery Hours

If you have an urgent problem during surgery hours call the surgery on 029 2071 1966. The receptionist will need to take some details about the problem and arrangements will be made for you to be seen by the doctor as soon as possible.

For health information and advice, or if you need medical help fast when we are closed telephone 029 2071 1966 and you will be diverted to the Out of Hours service.

In life threatening emergencies such as chest pain and severe shortness of breath you should call 999

You can contact NHS 111 Wales for information and advice at any time by telephoning 0845 4647 or through the NHS 111 Wales website.

Out of hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery reopens.
